Privacy policy

Last updated [date]

This policy explains what [legal entity name] ("we") collects when you use First Take, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, and the date you joined or asked to join.
  • Device details: when you sign in on a computer, the app sends a device fingerprint (a one-way hash of your computer's hardware identifier, so we can't recover the identifier itself), a random install id, the computer's name, operating system and version, and the app version. We use these to show you which computers are signed in and to spot accounts shared across many computers.
  • Usage records: for each AI request, the time, the feature and model used, its size (such as tokens or characters) and its cost to us. This is how we count credits.
  • Content you send to AI features: prompts, scripts, images and recordings are passed to our AI providers to produce results. We don't keep this content after the request completes, except [any logs or retention].
  • Website and update analytics: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and app downloads on this website without cookies, using anonymised data. When the app updates itself, it reports the new and previous version numbers once, with nothing that identifies you or your computer.

What we don't collect

Your workspaces, videos and project files stay on your computer. We don't receive them unless you send part of one to an AI feature.

Who we share it with

  • Supabase, which hosts our accounts database ([region]).
  • Vercel, which hosts this website and the AI Gateway that routes model requests.
  • The AI model providers behind the gateway, and ElevenLabs for voice features.
  • [Email provider] to send sign-in codes.

We don't sell your information.

Your choices

You can see your devices and usage on your account page, sign a computer out, or ask us to delete your account by emailing [email].
